We invite you for weekend-long workshops of European circle dancing. Workshops will be held by excellent teachers, and specialists.
Vittoria Agliozzo – specialist in Italian dances from Sicily and Calabria;
Piotr Zgorzelski – master of Polish non-stylized dance forms;
Daniel Sandu – expert on dances from Southern Europe, Balfolk and Roma dances.
During the workshops, the participants will be introduced to basic steps of those dances as well as focus on their common feature – improvisation. We will turn our attention on dancing as an art of being ourselves both in relationship with our partner and together with other dancers and the music.
Workshops are for adults only. Previous dancing experience is not required but openness and playfulness will be very welcome!
Participants will be gradually introduced to dancing, from less complicated to more complex elements. They will have a chance to try out their new dancing skills during dance parties and concerts organized in the evenings.
These workshops are an introduction to Etnokraków/Rozstaje/Crossroads Festival which will take place in July. The festival has been introducing people to traditional music of many European countries through concerts and workshops for many years.
