The cycle Kraków Meetings with Eastern Orthodox Music hosts two acclaimed ensembles from beyond Poland’s eastern border, invited by the Podgórze Cultural Centre to sing in the Church of Sts Peter and Paul. On 22 May, we will hear the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music Choir directed by Dmitri Onegin, representing the Moscow academy with great renown and rich traditions. On 25 May, the Academic Chamber Choir “Khreschatyk” from Kiev performs under the baton of Pavlo Struts; the ensemble has an impressive repertoire ranging from early music to contemporary compositions.
