The United Arab Emirates aren’t just about oil, wealthy sheikhs and breathtaking skyscrapers. They also have a fascinating cinematography, as we’ll discover during the Emirati Cinema Review, hosted by the Mahda Foundation and Pod Baranami Cinema for the second time (7-9 April).
We will see the psychological thriller Zinzana by Majid Al Ansari, the touching road movie Going to Heaven by Saeed Salmeen, and the drama Salma’s Dinner by Nujoom Al-Ghanem. The programme also features documentaries, including Anwar Roma about UAE’s football team which provided fans the most emotionally gripping moments in the Emirates’ soccer history.
