Awards of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are one of the most prestigious awards in worldwide film industry. First statuettes were awarded in 1929 in 13 categories, which number has been increased to 24 over the years. Although a formula of the competition evolved over time, short film category is present in the competition almost since its beginning. We are pleased to show this year's contenders to win the Oscar in the following categories: Short Animation and Short Live Action.
