As part of the Dancing Weekend (11-12 March), Kika Cinema presents The Dancer: the directorial debut of Stéphanie Di Giusto dedicated to Loïe Fuller, the legendary pioneer of contemporary dance who captivated Parisian audiences in the late 19th century with her very own serpentine dance. German Kral’s Our Last Tango is an extraordinary story of the most famous couple in the history of Argentinian tango, María Nieves Rego and Juan Carlos Copes, while Carlos Saura’s Argentina, Argentina reveals the mysterious musical world of Latin-American culture. Finally, we will see a Polish touch: Aneta Popiel-Machnicka’s Sometimes I Dream I’m Flying, documenting the early career of a young, talented ballerina.
