You’ll Never Forget
If you went to the Off Festival in 2015, you’re bound to remember their incredible, oneiric concert. Xiu Xiu performed the soundtrack from Twin Peaks, perfectly capturing David Lynch’s unsettling atmosphere.
They rose to the musical firmament in the early days of the millennium, regularly releasing albums featuring the best, most interesting elements of alternative music, from synth-pop trance to post-punk noise. The Californian group has never been shy of experimenting, and their latest album Forget is no different. Xiu Xiu’s frontman, the multi-instrumentalist Jamie Stewart, was supported in the recording by members of Swans and Deerhoof.
