Her latest album Minione, launched in early February, has a poignant dedication “To those in love, unloved and not loved enough”. Regardless which group Anna Maria Jopek identifies with, her personal life doesn’t affect her career. In any case, her professional life is on the up and up. Her dream of performing with Sting came true recently. After six years, she is returning with a new album. Following her exploration of Japanese (Haiku) and Lusophone (Sobremesa) music, this time the artist intertwines Polish and Latino cultures to create an album resurrecting some of the most beautiful pre-war tangos. She performs them alongside Gonzalo Rubalcaby, one of the greatest improvising pianists working today. She brings her hits to ICE Kraków on 31 March. See you there!
