Sturm und Drang
Until now they have been linked by jazz and by the fact that they are both musical individualists. Now their paths cross with dance: the Kraków Opera hosts the ballet Two Stories, One Dance with music by the pianist Piotr Orzechowski and the bass guitarist Krzysztof Ścierański. The choreography for the two-act performance has been prepared by Jacek Tyski, soloist with the Polish National Ballet who has previously worked with artists from the Kraków Opera Ballet on the spectacle Emotions. This time we will see a story about the growing pains faced by teenagers. The compositions by Orzechowski, who has produced some fascinating experiments with the oberek form, and Ścierański, acclaimed for his poetic sensitivity to music, provide a captivating framework and powerful inspiration for the dance performance.
