There are certain songs which sound heavenly with fresh breakfast croissants and are just as captivating with an evening glass of red wine. Then there are those which are just as delicious with your morning cappuccino as with an afternoon shot of espresso. We’ll hear them all on 25 September at the Kraków Philharmonic during the finale of the 8th International French Song Festival for the Edith Piaf Prize, this year combined with the Italian Song Competition finale, foretelling the 1st International Italian Song Festival starting next year. Beware, the melodies are enchanting! Don’t be surprised if you find yourselves humming les plus belles chansons françaises and le più belle canzoni italiane a long time after the concert – every day and perhaps even every night… (Barbara Skowrońska)
