Childhood Journeys
Although September signals the inevitable end of summer holidays and a return to school, Pod Baranami Cinema takes kids on cinematic journeys as part of the 3rd Children’s Film Festival (17-25 September). This year’s competition includes eight feature films, two of which come straight from this year’s Berlinale. There will also be a short film competition, with kids selecting their favourite protagonist at screenings. And that’s not all!
This year’s festival takes viewers on a journey through French cinema. We will see productions from the Folimage studio including Leon’s Animated Stories and Jean-François Laguionie’s The Painting. There will also be screenings of animations by Studio Ghibli which brought us Hayao Miyazaki’s cult productions including My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle. Finally, the programme features a premiere of the first five episodes of Kacperiada – a TV series based on stories by Grzegorz Kasdepke.
