Swinging Rhythms
For the eighth time the Dragon Swing 2017: Lindy Underground – International Lindy Hop Festival (29 November – 3 December) immerses us in the exuberant atmosphere of the 1920s and 1930s when jazz reigned supreme in New Orleans and enthusiastic crowds moved to the rhythm of swing. The festival brings four days of workshops led by some of the best dance instructors from around the globe and five events in underground, ground-level and otherworldly ballroomsJ! This year, regular festival venues of the Railway Cultural Centre, Stara Zajezdnia and the Wieliczka Salt Mine are joined by ICE Kraków. Music comes courtesy of the Lazy Swingers Band, Leliwa Jazz Band, Heart of Dixie and the Cajun Spices and DJ Shorty George and the Basie’s Goodmen DJ duo. We’re already tapping our feet in anticipation!
