Polish Folk Culture

The “Polish Folk Culture” exhibition may be called a time machine. Walking through the renaissance interiors of the Town Hall on Plac Wolnica, the visitor becomes amazing to find authentic village settings and craftsmen’s workshops. Furthermore, the remaining exhibits, most of which come from the 19th century (folk costumes, famous Cracovian nativity scenes, sacred art…), are collected and displayed in one place, allowing visitors to view and appreciate the richness and diversity of traditional rural culture. Seemingly distant, this culture is constantly present, if only in music or in modern design.
