Biografia
No Good Advice begin their journey in Turin (Italy) in autumn 2012, from an idea of the founders Livio “Rozzy” Cadeddu (guitar and vocals), Giacomo “Jack Daniel’s” Passarelli (drums) and Enrico “Mr. Reeno” Paternò (bass). After a line-up change Lorenzo “Big Muff” Moffa (guitar) joins the band in the end of 2014.
This project arises from the will to suggest a strong sound, a mix of the music influences of its members -from Black Sabbath to Kyuss, from Motörhead to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
The result is the creation of songs that embrace the compositional style of “Stoner Rock” with a massive use of persistent and powerful riffs where fast rhythm sections accompany a “seventies” touch.
To top it all off, the harsh symbolic representation of the lyrics is performed by the sharp melodic line of the vocals.
No Good Advice are now ready to hit the stages of the local scene where they obtain a positive outcome from the audience. This pushes them into recording a single, “Stoned Jesus”, published on the main social networks and aired in various FM and web radios.
Thanks to this song the band is noticed by RMN Music, an English record label based in London.
In August 2015 No Good Advice sign their first record deal with RMN Music and get ready for the release of their first E.P. “ Prehistoric Overdrive”, scheduled for autumn 2015.
I No Good Advice iniziano il loro viaggio a Torino nell’autunno 2012, da un’idea dei fondatori Livio “Rozzy” Cadeddu (chitarra e voce), Giacomo “Jack Daniel’s” Passarelli (batteria) e Enrico “Mr.Reeno” Paternò (basso). Dopo un cambiamento di line-up, Lorenzo “Big Muff” Moffa (chitarra) si unisce al gruppo alla fine del 2014.
Questo progetto nasce dalla volontà di proporre un sound aggressivo, un mix delle influenze musicali dei suoi membri – dai Black Sabbath ai Kyuss, dai Motörhead ai Pink Floyd ai Led Zeppelin.
Il risultato è la creazione di brani che abbracciano lo stile compositivo dello “Stoner Rock”, con un uso massiccio di riff potenti e incalzanti in cui le ritmiche serrate accompagnano uno stile anni Settanta. A completare l’opera, la dura allegoria dei testi viene interpretata dalla graffiante linea melodica della voce.
I No Good Advice a questo punto sono pronti a calcare i palchi della scena locale, dove ottengono un riscontro positivo dal pubblico; questo li sprona a registrare un singolo, “Stoned Jesus, che viene pubblicato nei principali social network e trasmesso in varie radio FM e del web.
Grazie a questo brano la band viene notata da RMN Music, un’etichetta discografica inglese con sede a Londra. Nell’agosto 2015 i No Good Advice firmano il loro primo contratto discografico con RMN Music e si preparano all’uscita del loro primo E.P. “Prehistoric Overdrive”, prevista per l’autunno 2015.
